1. The Beginning

Welcome to the ECF Brand Project. I had the privilege of creating the brand for Epignosis Christian Family, a church dedicated to sharing Christ and helping people grow through His Word. I worked on the brand from start to finish, from building its story and message to designing its logo and visuals.

My goal was to create a brand that truly reflects the church’s heart, purpose, and vision, a visual identity that feels warm, meaningful, and rooted in faith.

2. Understanding “ECF”

To begin, I took time to understand Epignosis Christian Family, its mission, people, and what makes it special. I wanted the brand to capture who ECF truly is: a family that loves Jesus and helps others grow in His Word.

I then created mood boards and stylescapes to explore visual directions. I experimented with colors, typography, and imagery that reflect ECF’s welcoming, and Christ-centered nature. These early explorations became the foundation of the brand’s identity.

3. Visual System

All of the typography, color, and backgrounds were intentionally designed to support the ECF brand. The typography reflects the personality of ECF, while the colors and backgrounds work together to convey calm, faith, and a welcoming spirit, highlighting the logo and keeping designs clear and organized. Together, these choices ensure the ECF brand remains consistent across all materials and platform.

Primary Logo​

The ECF Primary Logo is based on the word Epignosis, meaning the true knowledge of Christ. The letter “E” is shaped like a partially open Bible, symbolizing God’s Word as the foundation of faith. This design comes from a mind mapping process using Epignosis as inspiration. Its upward shape reflects ECF’s mission: revealing Christ, equipping His family, and discipling the nations.

The Brandmark

The Brandmark places the Primary Logo within a circle, symbolizing eternity, unity, and completeness in Christ. The circle highlights the wholeness of God’s family and their shared journey of faith, while the “E” continues to point to God’s Word as the source of true knowledge.

Logo System

The ECF Logo System ensures consistency across all applications. The Primary Logo serves as the main identifier, supported by horizontal and vertical versions for flexible layouts. The Brandmark works as a compact emblem, while the Avatar is optimized for digital profiles and social media. Badges extend the identity to apparel, stamps, and ministry materials, allowing the brand to adapt across different platforms and uses.
